Liberty Township Parks

The Liberty Township park consists of 16 acres and is located off of twp Road 8 on the northwest side of the village of Liberty Center.

The parks many uses include soccer in the spring where over 300 children from pre-school thru 6th grade compete on four different fields.

In the summer you will find girls softball and boys baseball teams utilizing the two diamonds. And in the fall youth football teams suit up for some flag football competition.

As soon the football season is over the township officials are busy decorating for the annual "Lights of the Season" display which opens on the 1st Sunday after thanksgiving with a community event that includes carolers and christmas poems.

The lighting of the tree is main event followed by the lighting of the rest of the park. Visitors can drive though the display each evening until December 31st.

 

Spring Sports Complex

The Spring Sports Complex is located 1/4 mile north of Liberty Center on State Route 109.

At the Spring Sports Complex you can find a state of the art all weather track that is open for the public to use for leisurely walkers or the serious jogger.

The 15 acre complex houses the Liberty Center High School spring sports facilities. They include: a well maintained B.A. Miller boys baseball field, a girls high school softball field and the all weather Carpenter track and field facility.

The baseball field is considered on of the best manicured and maintained fields in the area and has a press box with aluminum bench seating and individual stadium seating.
